He's established his credentials in roles that were soft and romantic, and in a
couple of action flicks too. And now Srikanth does his first full-length comedy
caper in 'Bambara Kannaley'. Paired with him is Arthi Agarwal, popular heroine
of Telugu films, and Namita.
It's the duo Senthil and Ganesh's debut production venture for the banner
Annamali Films (P) Ltd. And it is also the debut directorial venture of Parthi
Bhasker, nephew of music maestro Illaiyaraja. Though it's a film that's meant to
be a total comic entertainer, it gives enough scope for Srikanth to indulge in
romance and some action too, says the director.
Srikanth plays Arumugham, an ardent devotee of Lord Muruga, who sees every
happening in his life as a sign from the Lord. He love Arthi too only after he
feels he has the Lord's blessing and go-ahead. All these lead to many hilarious
situations. And if this is not enough, there is Vadivelu too for added comedy.
Namita plays the second lead and is sure to sizzle the screen with her dance
numbers.[ More ]
